Orchestra and a gig
It's the last day of April, and I thought I would sneak in an update! A friend of mine has been asking me to play in the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Orchestra because they need a harpist. She is letting me use her pedal harp and I'm excited to gain more experience with one, as well as get a chance to play in an orchestra!
I haven't played in a symphony since college years (my early 20's). I also love video games, even though, I haven't played much recently. Having a baby may have had something to do with that. This will be a great combination of both things I love! It's time for me to order some updated geek girl shirts to wear to rehearsal. :)
I also am preparing for an upcoming gig at the hospital I am volunteering for. This is helping me to get my practice in with the harp and it certainly is helping me move forward with my personal goals.
Hopefully, I'll get some nice pictures to share.
In the meantime, the baby is starting to crawl, which means I need to baby proof my harp and music area. It will be a good time to clear out some sheet music clutter!
